All workshops can be delivered as either hands-on sessions or engaging lectures. They’re fully adaptable depending on age group, experience level, or the topic, theme, or goals you'd like to explore. You can also mix and match sessions to build a bespoke experience that fits your project, community, or curriculum.
For example, a single workshop could combine 3D Modelling in VR, follow up with Blender Basics to refine the models, and then move into Intro to Augmented Reality to bring those creations into the real world using AR software. Whether you’re after a one-off taster or a multi-day creative journey, the format is totally flexible
Creative Technology Workshops
For Adults & Young People
Intro to Augmented Reality (AR)
Build your own interactive AR experiences using platforms like 8th Wall or Spark AR. This workshop introduces participants to the principles of AR, how tracking works, and how to bring 3D models or animations into the real world using mobile devices. Participants will leave with a functioning AR scene they can share and test on their phone.
VR Painting & Virtual World Design
Step into a VR headset and use spatial paint tools to create 3D models or immersive scenes. Once built, you'll explore these worlds using Stylie, walking through them as if you're inside a game. Great for exploring creativity in a new dimension. Participants leave with screenshots, screen recordings, and a digital version of their creation.
Modelling in Virtual Reality
Learn to sculpt and shape 3D models directly in VR using intuitive modelling tools. Participants will experiment with forms and textures, and then export their creations for use in games, AR projects, or 3D printing. A fun and immersive intro to spatial design.
Blender Basics
A hands-on introduction to Blender, covering 3D modelling fundamentals, navigation, lighting, and rendering. By the end of the session, participants will have created their own object, prop, or environment and learned how to export it for other uses like AR or animation.
Animating in Blender
Bring your models to life with movement. Learn keyframing, timing, and camera animation using Blender’s animation tools. Participants will animate an object, character, or scene and export a short looping animation or GIF to share.
Photogrammetry & 3D Scanning
Discover how to scan real-world objects or clay sculptures using mobile apps like Scaniverse or Polycam. Participants will capture, clean up, and explore their scans in 3D — perfect for adding personal, physical creations into digital art or games.
Rig Your Sculptures
Take a clay model, scan it into the computer, and bring it to life. Using Mixamo and other rigging tools, participants will learn how to make their scanned sculptures move like animated characters. A great bridge between physical making and digital creativity.
Creative Coding with AI
Explore how tools like ChatGPT, Play.AI, and Photoshop’s AI features can enhance creative workflows. Whether it's generating design ideas, automating tasks, or making posters and prompts, this session introduces playful and powerful ways to collaborate with AI in a creative context.
Intro to Game Design with Unity
Create your own 2D platform game using Unity. Learn about game mechanics, environment design, and basic scripting through guided exercises. Participants will leave with a working prototype level of their own game concept.
Script to Screen in a Day
In this fast-paced filmmaking challenge, participants develop a short idea, storyboard, shoot, and edit a film all in one session. Designed for mobile devices, this workshop teaches teamwork, storytelling, and rapid production techniques.
Stop-Motion Madness
Create quirky stop-motion animations using clay, paper, craft materials, or Lego. Learn about frame-by-frame animation, camera setup, and basic editing. Participants leave with their own animated clip.
Name in Motion (After Effects/procreate dreams)
Animate your name and your personality using kinetic typography and fun text effects in After Effects. A great intro to animation and design, this workshop is all about self-expression through keyframe movement.
After Effects Basics
Learn key After Effects tools including masking, keyframing, and effects to create short motion graphics or animated sequences. Perfect for beginners who want to level up their design, film, or animation work with simple but effective motion techniques.
Intro to Motion Capture
Animate a character without drawing a single frame. This workshop teaches the basics of character rigging and motion capture. Participants animate a 3D character and export a short scene or clip.
Phone Filmmaking & Micro-Docs
Turn your phone into a filmmaking studio. Learn framing, lighting, sound recording, and editing techniques for creating short films or documentaries using just your phone. Great for individuals, schools, or community groups.
